Dr Masaki Horie was born in Japan in 1977. He studied for a Doctorate at Tokyo Institute of Technology working on organometallic supramolecules under the supervision of Professor Kotaro Osakada. Masaki was awarded his PhD in 2004 and subsequently joined RIKEN (The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) as a special postdoctoral researcher working on crystal optics of supramolecules. In May 2007, he moved to the UK and joined The University of Manchester as a research associate under the supervision of Professor Michael Turner at the Department of Chemistry and Professor Brian R. Saunders at the Materials Science Centre. Whilst there he had worked on the hybrid solar cell project using conjugated polymers and inorganic quantum dots. In February 2010, he joined Department of Chemical Engineering at National Hsing Hua university in Taiwan. His research interests are synthesis of conjugated polymers and supermolecular rotaxanes for use in organic opto-electronic devices.

Hung-Kai Chang (張紘愷)
Hello! I am Hung-Kai Chang. (Since Aug. 2018)
Meng-Che Tsai (蔡孟哲)
Hello, I'm Meng-Che, Tsai. I was born in Tainan and graduated from Department of Chemical Engineering in NTHU. Recently, taking photograph and doing work out help me release lots of pressure. Besides, playing basketball and table tennis are also my favorite exercise since senior high school. I feel satisfied for joining Masaki's Lab. Because professor welcomes new ideas, I can freely conduct my research and have brainstorm with other lab members. My research topic is about organic photorefractive material. Cannot wait to develop new polymer structure and achieve high PR performance! Also, I will cherish the time spend in Masaki's lab and the people meet here. (Since Aug. 2021)
